Job Description Event Co –Ordinator

Reports to Vice President Toronto Section


  • Plan and execute an event calendar for each year with the assistance and training provided by the Vice President
  • Plan a minimum of 4 events per annum on a calendar basis in advance
  • Communicate and work with board members and volunteers to co-ordinate suggestions for events not limited to car shows, tech sessions, sports driving , wine and sightseeing tours
  • Work with Vice President to provide a budget for Board approval for events
  • Develop activities to encourage female and junior multi ethnic owner participation
  • Co-ordinate with Mercedes Benz Club of Canada on joint activities
  • Work with local dealerships independent and MB Canada corporate stores for participation in local events such as Toronto International Car show and ,new car launches and MB activities
  • Work with appropriate banquet halls and restaurants to provide services for Toronto Section functions
  • Co-ordinate the assignment of photography and section news letter write ups with club volunteers
  • Attend executive board meeting and take notes as to decisions on responsibilities and follow up

This position is a voluntary position with appropriate travel expenses paid and business cards provided. Close co-operation and training will be provided by the Vice President as well as assistance from the Media Director and Sports Director.
